Hello!
My name is Megan Boyt (formerly Green). I got married a
little more than a month ago and it still feels strange to use my new name! It
is nice to start out this semester knowing that I won’t have to juggle wedding
planning along with school and work.
I have three more classes to complete in the IT program with
IT 6230 being one of them. I expect I finish the program in two more semesters.
I work for Wayne State in the IRB Administration Office. Prior to working at
Wayne, I graduated with my BS in Elementary Education from WSU in 2011. I
completed my student teaching a 5th grade classroom and I previously
helped teach a group of 7th to 12th grade girls at my
church for about 5 years.
In my spare time, I enjoy sewing/quilting, playing
volleyball, bowling and traveling. In just a couple of weeks, my husband and I
will be driving to Tennessee to stay in a cabin for our honeymoon. We are both
very excited! I am looking forward to this semester and to working with new
classmates.
Hi Megan
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your blog, and congrats on your marriage. I hope that you enjoy your time in Tennessee, I went about a year ago and spent a week in a cabin in the smokey mountains, (I think) and it was so much fun... Just watch out for the bears, one of my neighbors had 3 on her steps...
Congrats. From the instructor side, it's always a little confusing when name changes come, especially since you were in my class last term.
ReplyDeleteHello Megan, nice to meet you. My wife and I did the same thing 26 years ago for your honeymoon. You both are going to love it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the name change. It took me a couple of years after my wedding of having to think really hard whenever I had to sign things before I got it consistently right. Enjoy the vacation!
